05 — Why labels miss
Almost every driver defaults to “fit to page” and prints at 94–97%. On an A4 sheet that is 6–9 mm lost by the bottom row. We hand you a vector PDF at true millimetres and a calibration sheet with a 50 mm ruler, so you can prove the scale in ten seconds.
Stretched images and hairline modules are why a scanner beeps at one label and ignores the next. We encode Code 128, EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A, Code 39, ITF-14 and QR ourselves, keep the module width honest, and warn you before it drops under 0.25 mm. Check digits are calculated for you.
You printed eight labels last week; the sheet still has twenty-two. Tell us which cell to start from and the run continues exactly there. If your printer feeds a fraction off, enter the shift in millimetres once and every later sheet is corrected.
06 — Sheet sizes
Every grid below is checked against the page: left margin + pitches + label width has to equal the paper, or it is not shipped. Anything else you can measure yourself with the custom grid.

08 — Guide
Print the calibration sheet on plain paper first. Measure the 50 mm ruler: if it is not 50 mm, your print dialog is scaling — set it to “Actual size” / 100% and print again. If the ruler is right but the crosses miss the label corners, measure the miss and type it into the X / Y shift boxes; the whole page moves with it.
The encoders are checked against an independent reader (the ZXing library) on every build — over a hundred random values per release, decoded back and compared character by character. What we cannot promise for you is paper and toner: keep the module width above 0.25 mm, leave the quiet zone alone, and print black on white. The measure strip tells you the module width for the label size you chose.
No. The barcode encoder, the layout engine and the PDF writer all run in this tab; the server only ever answers “is this licence active”. That is also why the free page limit lives in your browser — there is nothing on our side to count.
Yes — open “Custom grid” and enter the measurements: label size, top and left margin, and the pitch (corner to corner, not the gap). We check the numbers against the paper size and refuse a grid that cannot fit, which is usually the moment you find the pitch was measured as the gap.
